Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Rival Stainless Steel Electric Fondue PotCustomer Review: Impressive at cooking meat! Summary: 5 Stars
I was at first worried that this fondue pot might not get hot enough for oil fondues, but I tried it out, and it is great! The instruction booklet recommends vegetable oil, but I used peanut oil, which smells amazing when heated. It really is very easy to clean and the temperature dial is nice because it allows you to choose the temperature, not just low/med/high. I haven't yet tried cheese or chocolate, but I figure they should be much easier.
Customer Review: FANTASTIC! Summary: 5 Stars
This fondue pot is exactly as described! I read all the reviews, and immediately bought it. I took it out of the package, seasoned it per directions (minutes to do), and brought it to a party for some awesome chocolate fondue! What a hit! I didn't have to bother with it - except add a bit of cream after a few hours. It was absolutely wonderful not having to worry about a flame. I'm ordering another.
Customer Review: YUM Summary: 5 Stars
Used a friends and went out and bought one immediately. The magnet plug was a bit odd at first, but it is really smart. It's strong enough that it doesn't pull out, but breaks away if someone trips on it - prevents painful and messy spills!
The non-stick has been great, so far everything has wiped right out and requires just soap and a gentle sponge for cleaning, protecting the finish.
Customer Review: Better Than I Thought Summary: 5 Stars
I used this fondue maker the day after I recieved it and I must say, I was surprised. It's a great fondue pot, it heats up super fast, and it stays heated. Also, you can control the temperature, which I love. The cord is super short, so you need an extension cord which might not look so pretty on a nicely set table, but that didn't stop us. I would recommend this to all of my friends.
Customer Review: Great for any type of fondue Summary: 5 Stars
We have used this for cheese, chocolate and meat fondues. Throw away the double boiler, you don't need it with this around. We used to use the sterno for cheese and meat, the candles for chocolate. This has made them all obsolete. It is very easy to clean up and use for the next course. We have never burned anything or waited forever for this to cook anything in this unit.
