Like others, I wanted to free up the oven for side dishes, pies, rolls etc. I ordered this roaster and received it so quickly with my Prime membership. I roasted a 20 pound fresh turkey for Thanksgiving. It was without a doubt the best tasting turkey I have ever cooked. It was also the first fresh turkey I have cooked also, so I am not sure to what extent that was a factor. Talk about tender moist and flavorful. I rubbed a butter and poultry seasoning mix on the turkey, seasoned with fresh ground pepper and sea salt and placed it in the roaster. I did not lift the lid at all and let it go for 3 and a half to four hours at about 335 degrees. Everyone loved it! I will be using it for a prime rib roast at Christmas and a spiral ham too. So far it is great!
