I didn't purchase my Rival slow cooker from Target. I bought mine off E-bay, but the design is identical from the one that Target sells. I have to say that Rival is a VERY good name in Kitchen equipment. I use mine when ever I don't feel like turning on a hot oven in the summer time. It's very user friendly and it does was the company says. Even though I didn't buy it retail, I still recomend it to anyone that wants a relieable cooker. For those who have bad luck with it remember this. Mass production does have it's flaws remember that. I for one have had no bad luck with the glass lid for any reason.
